![]() ![]() For now though I would stay clear from RDO and pick up one of the many, many better bullet hell roguelikes. Adding a sense of direction in an otherwise usually aimless runs. I did really enjoy the idea of protecting vehicles rather than just solely trying to survive, this added an additional layer of accomplishment to the game. Focusing more on the tower defence mechanics would greatly benefit the game as it would divert from the other indies overpopulating the genre. Hopefully, the developers will see its uniqueness and nurture it, allowing the good features to flourish. In summary Road Defense: Outsiders has a long way to go, at the moment it’s current state seems like a rushed product released solely to cash in on a popular trend. Handling as well as monkey driving a F1 car, with a wheel missing, whilst blindfolded. However, the controls and handling are atrocious and feel like an old flash game. The battery lasts fairly long, which is typically standard with less demanding indie games. The game is great, and feels great to play! Nice! I can put an arrow saying I have a coin. The game runs perfectly fine on the Steam Deck despite having a questionable performance rating. The game is great, and feels great to play! Regarding the UI, I think it is positive that we don't get the freeze everytime money is available but it would be nice (if possible) to have some sort of icon "silently" show up when there is money to collect. Related to EXP some of the "exp diamonds" won't gravitate towards the player after a wave has been cleared. 1 other thing, for the final vehicle, it would be cool if some big boss or something shows up that you have to defeat before you can actually complete the level, either preventing the escaping vehicle from going (should probably have invincibility if it get's stopped midway or so through the road) or the boss appears after the vehicle has. If I may give a suggestion, maybe have the car run over them, perhaps even deny the exp to the player when this occurs (to make sure you're keeping folk away from the convoy). ![]() While this happens, they will attack as usual so it can be a little tricky to protect the convoy because of this. ![]() I have noticed that sometimes enemies (two or three max.) will stop in front of the vehicle and get dragged along with it. I think the convoy decided not to risk it. Originally posted by Night:Typo: Panic Level message always says "Don't let more than 4 cars explode!", but you fail on the fourth car. ![]()
